The deadline for Senator Stuart Syvret’s return to the Island falls on Monday SENATOR Stuart Syvret says he is not coming back to Jersey and will give up his States seat.The Senator, in self-imposed exile in London, has written on his blog that there is ‘not a chance’ that he will return before the six-month deadline expires.
But he has again said that he wants to fight the by-election caused by his disqualification. The deadline for his return falls on Monday, not Friday as incorrectly reported earlier this week.
Under the terms of the States of Jersey Law, Senator Syvret will forfeit his seat if he does not return to Jersey by midnight on Monday.
