Pic. Deputy Carolyn Labey
A REPORT into official complaints about a police raid on a politician’s home has still not been handed over, six months after it was written.
Warwickshire Police carried out an investigation into the raid on the house shared by Senator Stuart Syvret and Deputy Carolyn Labey in April last year, after the Deputy made a formal complaint.
But despite Deputy Labey’s repeated attempts she cannot get a copy of the report, only a summary compiled by police lawyers which she says contains inaccuracies.
She is now pursuing the Warwickshire force through a request under the UK Freedom of Information Act and is planning a complaint under Jersey’s Data Protection Law because she says confidential correspondence with constituents was accessed during the raid.
