FOUR former Haut de la Garenne children yesterday described years of abuse at the hands of two carers who worked at the home.
The alleged victims, now in their 40s, took to the witness stand in the Royal Court and gave emotional accounts of how Morag and Anthony Jordan, both 62, terrorised them as youngsters.
One woman described the abuse as ‘a lifetime of hell’ and claimed that she still had nightmares about what happened.
The defendants, who live in Scotland, deny a total of 48 charges of assault on 11 children in their care at the home between 1970 and 1984. Ten of the alleged victims are due to give evidence during the course of the trial.
