Former Jersey senator Stuart Syvret has been back in court charged with breaches of the data protection law.
The charges relate to an entry on his blog in March last year in which he published a confidential Police report. It was about an investigation into claims that a nurse at Jersey's General Hospital had been murdering patients.
Mr Syvret named the nurse, despite the case having been investigated in 1999 and dismissed.
He says the '99 investigation was flawed and that it had been in the public interest to name the individual, who could have posed a danger to the community.
Mr Syvret will be summing up his case this afternoon.
