Senator Perchard speaks live in Channel Report
If you believe Senator Stuart Syvret, then Jersey's current Health Minister told him to go and commit suicide.
Up until now Senator Perchard has avoided speaking to the media.
But, with pressure mounting for his resignation tonight he decided to face his critics.
Senator Jim Perchard told his version of events on Channel Report.

No confidence vote in Health Minister
Jersey Deputy Roy le Herisser has called for a vote of no confidence in the island's Health Minister, Senator Jim Perchard.
Senator Perchard has been under fire from States members since he apologised for using "inappropriate language" during a States meeting.
He was reported to have told the former Health Minister, Senator Stuart Syvret, he should "top himself."
Deputy le Herissier lodged the motion this morning, and said he was disappointed Senator Perchard hadn't done more to show he regretted his actions.
"I was hoping the Minister would resign and submit himself for re-election. I don't think that the apologies from the Chief Minister amounted to a defence and it's something I felt I had to test with the House," said Deputy le Herissier.
Senator Perchard was unavailable for comment.

Haut de la Garenne to reopen
By Diane Simon
Jersey,s Haut de la Garenne is to be reopened for the use of visiting military groups on exercises.
The first group to make use of part of the building, to which the Youth Hostel Association have said they will not be returning, will be a group of TA Royal Engineers who are joining their local counterparts in June for two weeks of work in the Island.
The building became the subject of worldwide media publicity in February 2008 after former deputy police chief Lenny Harper said that what was believed to be the partial remains of a child had been found there. That item was subsequently discounted by scientists in the UK as probably a piece of wood or coconut.
Some rooms in the building have been virtually unaffected by the excavations, and the reopening of sections of the centre will enable military groups to visit the Island to carry out community projects and training exercises.

Home Secretary hit by expenses row
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith issues apology over expenses claim
pa.press.net
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is said to be "mortified" after she was forced to offer a humiliating apology for an expenses claim which included adult films watched by her husband.
Ms Smith said she "mistakenly" submitted an expenses claim which included five pay-per-view films, including two adult movies which were viewed at her family home in her Redditch constituency.
A friend said the Home Secretary knew there was "no excuse" for the error but added: "To say she's angry with her husband is an understatement."
The friend continued: "Jacqui was not there when these films were watched.
"She's furious and mortified."
Ms Smith said in a statement: "I am sorry that in claiming for my internet connection, I mistakenly claimed for a television package alongside it.
"As soon as the matter was brought to my attention, I took immediate steps to contact the relevant parliamentary authorities and rectify the situation.
"All money claimed for the television package will be paid back in full."
But the Home Secretary was said to be "getting on with her job" today despite her embarrassment.
The £67 Virgin Media bill was submitted last June as part of Ms Smith's expenses.

Consultancy to investigate death of nurse
By Dolores Cowburn
THE terms of reference of an independent inquiry into the death of Elizabeth Rourke at the General Hospital in 2006 have been announced.
Three investigators from Verita, a management consultancy that specialises in inquiries in health and social care, will look at the care and treatment of Mrs Rourke from her GP referral until the start of the police investigation.
The 49-year-old nurse died in 2006 following routine surgery. In January this year, Dr Dolores Moyano Ontiveros was cleared of her manslaughter, but several questions about the tragedy remain unanswered.
Former Health Minister Stuart Syvret says that the scope of the inquiry is too narrow. He intendsd to lodge a proposition on Monday asking the States to invite the Healthcare Commission to take on the investigation.

Abuse inquiry costs may top £12m
By Ben Quérée
THE cost of the historical abuse inquiry could top £12m by the end of the year.
States departments expect to spend £5m this year on the inquiry — most of it on police costs and counselling support for victims.
The figures came to light yesterday in a States proposition in the name of Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf.
Today, though, the Greffe recalled the proposition, saying that it had been lodged in error and not fully signed off. Senator Ozouf is away on a skiing holiday.
Picture: The day after the discovery of what were then thought to be a child’s remains at Haut de la Garenne, ministers said that the police would have a ‘blank cheque’ for the inquiry.
