The Rag and its smear-campaign against Lenny Harper.

The Rag and its smear-campaign against Lenny Harper.

A case of ‘lies and half-truths’

Lawyer: Harper made up ‘remains’ story

Yes - as some readers have already noted - the vile accretion of used toilet paper that is the Jersey Evening Post has surpassed itself again in tastefulness and decorum.

To think I sometimes get accused of being tactless and undiplomatic.

The Rag has, basically, taken the trial of Wateridge - the suffering of the victims - the foul crimes that were committed against them - and the predictable unsubstantiated assertions of the trial lawyers - as nothing more than a political opportunity to mount yet another lunatic smear-campaign against Lenny Harper.

Lenny Harper - let no one forget - the man who led the team who's investigations led to the identification, gathering of evidence, charging, prosecution - and conviction - of Wateridge.

So - to readers both in Jersey - and further afield - try to get a good look at someone else's copy of The Rag (for God sake don't buy one) - if you can't access the whole thing on line - and just reflect on how insane the Jersey oligarchy have become.

Here we have the conviction of a disgusting multiple child-abuser - a man who the traditional Jersey authorities had allowed to get away with it for decades.

And the response of Jersey's only "newspaper"?

To devote several editions and many pages of lies, half-truths and distortions - to attacking the former police officer who is responsible for Wateridge's conviction.

If you are a thinking person - don't ever let anyone try and tell you I'm wrong about the Jersey oligarchy.

We need only look at their own, increasingly insane, actions.

If you were thick enough to rely on the Jersey Evening Post for your facts - you'd end up thinking it was Lenny Harper who was the criminal - not Wateridge.

Fascinating, too, that they report Baker's attempts to get my blog-post taken down - but - in yet another breathtaking example of utter contempt for the intelligence of their readers - they neglect to mention that my blog posting was simply a reasoned response to the JEP headline which attempted to smear Lenny Harper and influence the Jury.

Let us bide our time; let's see what foul propaganda The Rag vomits out during the next few days or so.

Then we will undertake a detailed deconstruction of it over a few postings, later next week.

In the mean time - just ask yourself a simple question:
"What possible motives could the Jersey Evening Post and the rest of the Jersey oligarchy have - for engaging in the, frankly, mind-boggling spectacle of trying to smear Mr. Harper - the man responsible for Wateridge's conviction?"
