A SOCIAL worker who claims that he was sacked after alleging that children were being mistreated at Greenfields takes his case to the Employment Tribunal next week.

Simon Bellwood says that he was sacked for ‘whistle blowing’ about practices at the home. His allegations included concerns that children were being locked up solitary confinement for 24 hours.

But his former employers say that he was warned several times that his performance was unsatisfactory.
